The Official AAU Missouri Valley District Championship is now posted. If you have any questions or concerns, please e-mail us at movalleyaau@yahoo.com. Please provide us with your name and a phone number so that we can contact you. All athletes and parents affiliated with a team must go through their head coach. Only Unattached athletes and parents may contact us directly.

Please do not contact us with questions or concerns unless you have read this entire page and the Performance List Explanation. At that point, you are welcome to contact us if you have any questions not answered here or in the document.

All athletes listed on the "AAU MO Valley Performance List (Top 12)" below are eligible for consideration to compete in the AAU MV Meet unless they already have their maximum number of events allowed. There are 12 athletes listed in most events excluding the state meet qualifiers. Using these 12 athletes we will try to complete a full field of 16 competitors in each event. Athletes with the best marks on the performance list will be considered first and moved into the heat with the state automatic qualifiers should an opening occur there. Should they choose not to participate in a particular event their spot will be given to the next athlete listed. Please note that some events have fewer total competitors than the 16 we are striving for.

State meet qualifiers (the top 4 finishers) must continue on in the event(s) that they qualified in at the state meet. The only exception to this rule is if they choose to compete on a relay for their team. Their spot in the individual event that they choose to drop will then be given to the next athlete on the performance list. For your information, all state meet qualifiers are listed on the document below named "AAU State Meet Automatic Qualifiers (Alphabetical Order)."

Please remember that all age groups "Midget" and younger may only compete in a maximum of three events while all older age groups may compete in a maximum of four events.

All athletes that want to declare must pay the $15 entry fee. Should they be one of the last four (positions 9-12) on the performance list and their entry is not accepted to compete because 16 other competitors have declared they will be reimbursed.

EXAMPLE: The Sub-Youth Boys 400 Meter Run only has three automatic qualifiers from both the Missouri and Kansas State Meets (i.e., six automatic qualifiers total). Since there are only 11 more athletes on the performance list for the Sub-Youth Boys 400 Meter Run 10 athletes are guaranteed entry into the MV AAU Meet.

Athletes in the steeplechase, racewalks, pole vault, javelin, and 3000 Meter Run are not listed on the performance list as they automatically qualify to the AAU Missouri Valley District meet. Unattached athletes choosing to participate in one or more of these five events must complete the online registration process. If an unattached athlete is not qualified in any other event listed on the performance list, they will not be listed on the CoachO web site. Those unattached athletes must contact us at movalleyaau@yahoo.com with their first and last name, date of birth, AAU number, hometown, state, and zip code. We will manually place them on the CoachO web site. We will then e-mail those athletes so that they may register and pay at the CoachO web site. Athletes who wish to compete in any of these five events on registered AAU teams must register through their head coach. Remember that all racewalk and steeplechase competitors are allowed to participate in the AAU Region VIII Meet as well.

Also, the MV AAU Meet is the first meet that relays must qualify in to go on. Alternates on relays are considered an athlete in that relay event which counts as one of their events.

Your athletes must be marked as "DECLARED" on the CoachO web site in order to compete. You must register your athletes by clicking on the link below that reads "AAU MO Valley Online Registration." Please do not wait until the last minute to begin declaring your athletes. The online entry process for the 2008 AAU Missouri Valley Championships will end on Wednesday, June 18th at 12:00PM NOON.
